This template uses Module:Lang, a script written in Lua.

This template is a shorthand for formatting Japanese text by using {{Lang|selective = 1|mini = 1}} as a base.

Syntax

All fields are optional except the Japanese text.
{{Ja|Japanese text|rm = Romanisation of the Japanese text|tl = Translation of the Japanese text|lit = Literal Translation of the Japanese Text}}

Examples

{{Ja|こんにちは、旅人さん|rm = Konnichiwa, Tabibito-san|tl = Hello, Traveler|lit = Good Day, Traveler}} yields:
こんにちは、旅人さん Konnichiwa, Tabibito-san, "Hello, Traveler," lit. "Good Day, Traveler"
