The New World is the current state of the world and setting of Honkai: Nexus Anima.
History
Before a cataclysmic event known as the Sundering, the Old World's Aspects were paired together, ruled over by Sovereigns.[1] It was a time when nothing existed in true isolation, with everything connected together by Nexus threads.[2]
As a result of the Sundering, the Aspects of the Old World were split apart into pieces, the fragments forming the New World of 81 independent universes, called Planes. Many Sovereigns of the Old World also became rulers of the independent Aspects, now called Novarchs.[1]
