==Community Guidelines==
The Community Guidelines encompass both the ''Honkai: Nexus Anima'' Discussions section and the Comments section of the site. In addition to the topics above, please read and abide by the following guidelines.

===Behavior===
Be nice and treat people with respect. Keep discussions civil and be open-minded about differing opinions. Posts that express criticisms are allowed; posts that deliberately incur flame wars are strictly prohibited and will be deleted. Posts that express disagreements of a user are allowed; posts that berate or insult a user in said disagreement is strictly prohibited. 

Please refrain from using profanity on the site. If your post or comment is found to have used an unnecessary amount of profanity, the post or comment in question is subject to modification or deletion, and the user will be warned.

If someone is making disrespectful comments towards you or other users, please use the report function, and one of the [[Honkai Nexus Anima Wiki:Wiki Staff|Content or Thread Moderators]] will take a look at the offending post. Engaging in flame wars with other users is highly discouraged and will likely result in the involved users receiving a warning if you are found participating in the toxicity. User Walls are not exempt from this rule, and you will be warned if you are attacking someone on their User Wall.

Do not make posts personal or post personal information. Wikis are meant to be a place to collaborate with others on topics that excite you. Pages meant just as an attack on someone will be removed. This includes content posted in articles and messages to other users. This includes [https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/threat threats] towards [[miHoYo]], the characters, or other players.

===Harassment===
Please refrain from attacking users on their Message Wall or editing their profile page in a malicious manner. If you have an issue with a certain user, please contact the administrators and moderators about the issue. Users should not attack, instigate, or incur drama with other users in the comments and discussions section. 

===Discussion Etiquette===
When making a discussion post, please categorize the post under the most appropriate topic:

Please keep all discussions respectful and follow the site rules when engaging in any form of discussion. If there is a post that infringes on any of the rules listed on this page, report the offending post so that a Content Moderator will deal with it.

'''Fan Art''' must include an original source if the artwork that is posted is not original content made by the poster. Please provide the name of the artist or the source of the artwork when posting artwork that is not made by yourself. Putting "Google", "Pinterest", or "credit to the artist" with no additional details is not considered as a valid source. If a user is found to be illegitimately claiming artwork as their own, the post(s) will be deleted, and the user will be warned. If an artist has explicitly stated conditions against having their art being reproduced or reposted, we will honor the request of the artist and delete any offending posts.

'''Fan Fiction''' is intended for writers to express and share stories and ideas, such as original characters and story building. Posts that exhibit problematic themes or contain content that falls under the defined prohibited Inappropriate Content such as NSFW, discrimination, excessive violence, and sexualization are subject to be deleted at the sole discretion of the Wiki Staff.

''Original Characters (OC)''<br />
All '''Original Characters (OC)''' must be categorized under Fan Creation. Only OCs related to Honkai Nexus Anima and OC posts with proper/detailed character description are allowed such as including the OC's backstory, character description, custom voice-overs, etc. OCs unrelated to Honkai Nexus Anima and low-effort OC posts (one-line question or polls) are not allowed, such as:
* "What OC should I create?"
* "Pick my OC's Aspect, I can't choose!"
* "Please vote to choose my OC's faction!"<br>

===Memes===
'''Memes''' should be appropriate and should not be profane or nonsensical. Please do not spam the discussions section with posts that are essentially the same in nature (e.g., posting numerous photoshops and edits of a character, such as putting a hat on a character). If you are adamant about sharing these photos, please compile them all in one post rather than posting them numerous times as individual posts, otherwise, they are subject to immediate deletion if they are posted in a manner like spam.

===Off-Topic===
Off-topic conversations and comments will be deleted. This includes low-effort posts that are barely ''Honkai Nexus Anima'' related. The following is a list that represents posts that are generally seen as off-topic:
* "What character is like this? (external link to random YouTube video)"
* "Upvote if you agree"
* Discussion of media that is not related to ''Honkai: Nexus Anima'', such as anime
* Discussion of current events or politics that are not related to ''Honkai: Nexus Anima''
* Discussion of other games, sites, or wikis that are not associated with ''Honkai: Nexus Anima''
* Discussion of other users or user drama
* Creating, participating in, or derailing threads to discuss unrelated off-topic subjects that are not related to ''Honkai: Nexus Anima'' or its wiki
* Uploading, sharing, and posting images or videos that are not related to ''Honkai: Nexus Anima'' or its wiki

Please refrain from derailing threads (meaning, to steer away from the original subject) to discuss off-topic subjects. Users should refrain from using threads as their own personal chat boxes and should instead use the Fandom user Message Walls or external messaging apps like Discord if they wish to discuss off-topic material. Users who have been found to be starting off-topic discussions will be warned, and all subsequent users who have been contributing to the off-topic discussion may also receive warnings.

We allow for some off-topic posts to be made, depending on the context in which they were made for. Below is a list that contains posts that are not considered ''Honkai: Nexus Anima'' related, but are allowed in the best interest of building the community:
* Welcome posts and introduction posts
* Meta posts

'''Meta posts''', which act as posts that discuss subjects related to the community, are allowed as this is a collaborative community, but they are subject to be deleted if they are made solely to gossip or provoke drama against other users in the community. They can be posted under Editing Discussion to discuss suggestions that can be made to the discussions section or the site itself.

The wiki is not a place to discuss ethics and morality&mdash;this is more or less considered an off-topic discussion. Please do not use the site to discuss semantics behind the negative connotations of a word, or berate users over the matter. Please practice open-mindedness and assume good faith when using this site. If a user is using certain words in a malicious manner (e.g., using the word "loli" in a sexual and objectifying way rather than using it to simply describe a young-looking female character), please report the post in question and the Wiki Staff will have a look at the offending posts.

===Low-Effort===
In addition to off-topic content, the following posts or comments will be deleted if they are found as purely low-effort, regardless if they may have some resemblance to ''Honkai: Nexus Anima''. The following is a list of some types of posts that are generally seen as low-effort, and therefore subject to deletion:
* Low effort comments that only contain an image/meme (see [[Honkai Nexus Anima Wiki:Community Rules#Spam and Trolling|Spam and Trolling]])
* Screenshots of ''Honkai: Nexus Anima'' characters or media in other games (e.g., a Roblox screenshot)
* "Tier lists" that do not discuss or expand on gameplay discussion (e.g., simp tier lists, waifu tier lists, hate tier lists, no gameplay reasoning)
** Please include proper reasonings with your Tier List if applicable, otherwise your post may be deleted to prevent an influx of individual Tier List posts that don't add any room for discussion, and only serve to clutter the discussions section
* Repetitive threads that may or may not be following a post trend (e.g., threads made in response to another thread)
* Repetitive threads that are made to "simp" or thirst for a character
* Low-effort threads in which relevance is established through low-effort insertion (e.g., "real life what if scenarios")
* Any thread that provokes off-topic discussion or is focused around another topic that has no relations to ''Honkai: Nexus Anima'' (e.g., "what if 'X' character was in 'X' movie"; "here's 'X' character as [off-topic subject]"; "'X' character VS Goku")

Similar to how off-topic posts are handled, the moderation team will review each post on a case-by-case basis, and we may allow for some leniency in the handling of these posts, provided the posts have good interest to the community. 

===AI-Generated Content===
Content that was artificially generated through a prompt or through a service and is screenshotted or uploaded here (e.g. character.ai models of HNA characters, artificially generated images) are not allowed everywhere in the wiki. Artificially generated content will be deleted in order to maintain a standard of quality within the discussions section by reducing the large influx of redundant screenshots and posts containing content that is generated from AI services.<br />
AI-generated content such as Chat GPT screenshots, AI art generators (such as DALL-E or Bing), AI chatbots, etc. are not allowed. Posts generated by these tools aren't really about ''Honkai: Nexus Anima''. It's about the absurdity of the content and superimposing ''Honkai: Nexus Anima'' characters in it, no matter how well it's made.

===Inappropriate Content===
Pornographic content, Not Safe for Work (NSFW) content, the sexualization of ''Honkai: Nexus Anima'' characters, or any form of inappropriate content is '''not welcome''' on the Wiki. Inappropriate content is defined as content that is obscene, pornographic, abusive, or offensive. The judgment that defines a thread or post as inappropriate is reserved to the discretion of administrators and moderators. Please do not solicit or allude to inappropriate content. Below will be a non-exhaustive list that include examples of what we commonly consider inappropriate content:
* content that portrays characters in an inappropriate or not safe for work manner
* content that contains hate speech, such as racism, sexism, or content that is overtly offensive
* content that contains shocking content, such as gore or is gory in nature
* content that contains an excessive or unnecessary amount of profanities
* content that contains photo epileptic or excessively loud and distorted audio
* content that contains or includes links or downloads to malware or malicious code
* content that aims to exploit and deceive other users on the site, such as scams

Users that are found to be posting borderline inappropriate content are subject to be immediately blocked without appeal.

"Thirst" comments, kissing and barking, and any comments that entail any sort of sexual acts towards the characters are strictly prohibited. The following list includes, but is not limited to, comments that infringe on these rules:
* "Please step on me"
* "Nice boobs/booba/thighs"
* "THICCCC"
* "nice man tiddies"
* "nice cheeks / cake"
* "he's PACKING"
* "you find as he'll, i won't you"
* nonsensical comments (gibberish, spam)
Otherwise, any other comments that compliment a character's appearance in a non-sexual and appropriate manner are allowed.

===Shipping===
The act of "{{W|Shipping_(fandom)|Shipping}}" is discouraged on this wiki. If you want to share your head canon between two characters, please refer yourself to the [[w:c:shipping|Shipping Wiki]] where it is more thematically appropriate.
This rule applies to all kinds of pairings, including but not limited to "Canon x Canon", "Canon x OC", "OC x OC", and "Canon X Non-HNA Canon Characters".

===Personal Information===
Threads and posts that solicit account sharing or selling of your ''Honkai: Nexus Anima'' account are strictly prohibited. This includes any comments or posts that may severely jeopardize the confidentiality of an account or a user, such as an e-mail or a password. In addition, any comments or posts that otherwise include personally identifiable information is strictly prohibited.

Users are strictly prohibited to ask other users for personal information, such as their address or age. Likewise, users should not share or post details about their personal information to other users on the site such as:
* Face reveal and full body reveal (with the exception of cosplaying, do so at your own risk)
* Room reveal with sensitive information visible (such as your name on the wall, a photo of your family, etc)
* Sharing your email or game login information
* Full legal name reveal (nicknames are allowed)
Please practice online safety, especially if you are a minor, because users of all ages are able to visit this wiki and are able to see everything you post. This includes sharing sensitive information in Message Walls. Message Walls are public, NOT private, so everyone is able to see what you post on them.

===Language===
This Wiki is primarily intended for use with the English language, and as such, posts or comments that are not in English will be deleted. Please use our regional navigation located above the "Share" button on the top right of the page to switch to your respective language if you wish to contribute in your native language!
For this same reason, English proficiency is required in order to edit pages. If your English is not up to standard but you still wish to help the wiki, you can contact the staff through Talk Pages and especially through the #public-editing-help and #wiki-feedback channels on [https://discord.com/invite/URQr4rEQ our Discord server]!

===User Drama===
The discussion and mention of banned users within the community, or "drama" within the ''Honkai: Nexus Anima'' Fandom is strictly prohibited. Users that provoke or instigate drama will not be tolerated. Any comments or posts that are specifically made to gossip about ''Honkai: Nexus Anima'' content creators, influencers, Twitter users and other Fandom communities are not allowed. 

===Impersonation and Mini-Modding===
The impersonation of other users or famous people will not be tolerated. Mini-modding, also known as backseat moderating, is also not allowed, including but not limited to giving out Notice/Warning/Block messages on behalf of the Moderators or acting like Wiki Staff without the authority to do so; it is considered wiki staff impersonation and is likewise prohibited. Please leave any problems to the Wiki Staff, and use the report function instead of mini-modding.

If you have been banned and return to a new account, your posts will be deleted and your new account(s) will be banned.

===Spam and Trolling===
Wikis are a great place to build content on a specific topic, not a place to spam links to your latest product or to post non-relevant material. Spam will be removed, so please don't add it to begin with. Users are allowed to post ''Honkai: Nexus Anima'' related videos on the comment page, provided these videos are not spammed throughout various pages.

Examples of spamming include, but are not limited to the following:
* Excessive repetition of a given line or sentence nd "rituals" (e.g., "manifesting cassio rollex 😀 manifesting cassio rollex 😀 manifesting cassio rollex 😀 manifesting cassio rollex 😀")
* Flooding of a comment section or the discussion section (holding down enter and causing people to scroll down past blank lines)
* Intentionally creating blank posts
* Excessive emoji spam or nonsensical emoji spam
* Excessive self-promotion of user-generated content (e.g., spamming Discord server links, spamming links or videos in unrelated sections of the site)
* Low-effort comments that contain gibberish in them or only contain an image/meme
* Low-effort image spam of errors about wiki thumbnails on pages
* ASCII spam
* Copypasta

In addition to regular forms of spam, comments that specifically berate a certain character throughout various pages are not allowed. Users are allowed to express distaste over a character, but are not allowed to spam the same type of message repeatedly on different pages (e.g. "[Character] sucks so much, I'm really glad I pulled this character over [Character]." in conjunction with "Man, [Character] fans simp for this character so much. They're simply overrated, there are so much better units than [Character]."). Accounts that exist solely to post negative comments for the sole purpose of inciting angry responses will be seen no different than accounts that engage in spamming and trolling.

'''Trolling''' can be considered as the act of inciting flame wars, maliciously infuriating or annoying other users on the site, creating discussions that are intentionally made to bait responses, and users that are intentionally deviating from common sense. Trolling of any form is not tolerated on this site, and will be dealt with accordingly.
