There are 6 handbook entries that focus on Exploration:

Attributes and Choices
You have three customizable attributes: Strength (STR), Intelligence (INT), and Charisma (CHA); Different attributes will alter your personality and behavior; Many dialogue options will only be unlocked when you satisfy the Attribute requirements.
Battle Team
You can easily edit your Team composition before battles, and save multiple different Team compositions. On PC, you can use the right mouse button to quickly deploy or equip Anima, Kardia, and Relics.
Bonding Anima
The connection you establish with Nexus Anima that allows you to summon and use them is known as a Bond; In most cases, you can Bond an Anima after defeating it in battle. While out adventuring, a special mark will appear over Anima you have not yet Bonded.
Day and Night
You can switch between day and night after sitting down on certain benches. Some Anima will only appear at night.
Gameplay Tutorial
Increase your Apex Forum rating by challenging members of the Apex Forum. Once your rating reaches Lv. 4 (Seeded Contestant), you will receive an invitation to enter the Championship Qualifiers. Explore the town, Bond more Anima, repair Aspect Fractures, and help restore peace. Help out the residents of Iia, completing their Happiness Events, and making the town full of joy once more. Progress the story, complete Quests, engage in Nexus Battles, and explore the world to earn Experience and increase your player level.
Powerful Anima
During your adventures, you may encounter extremely rare powerful Anima, whom you may Bond after defeating them.
