Etymology
Aurumidas is a portmanteau of aurum and midas, in which aurum means “gold” in Latin and Midas (Ancient Greek: Μίδας) is a mythical king who can turn everything he touched into pure gold.
The Chinese name of Aurumidas, 黄金乡, means “city of gold” which refers to certain mythological places including El Dorado, Paititi, etc.
